The Boss Chiefs | The BullPen
I recently had the opportunity to photograph DC’s own 90’s style alt-rock band, the Boss Chiefs, at the Bullpen. With some killer riffs and powerful drums, they rocked for a couple hours while the crowd enjoyed the music and the local deliciousness from the food trucks of Truckeroo. There were tons of people in the crowd from young to old, all dancing, drumming water bottles to the beat, singing along to some classic covers, and many that were familiar with the band’s original songs as well!
The venue was awesome, made out of pallets and recycled storage containers, most often frequented by Nat’s fans during the home games but while the National’s are away you can find lots of other events happening at this trendy spot. Although, I was sad to hear that this was the Boss Chiefs’ last show at this venue because the owners are thinking about going in a different direction the the property. Unfortunate!
Check out some of the photos taken during their set, and be sure to go ‘like’ the band’s Facebook Page so you can check out their next show!
