Day in the Life with the Dietz Family

“Strike a pose, show me your hiney!” said little ‘A’ as she was taking a photo with my extra camera. There is never a dull moment in a house with three children. In the morning, before the sun even comes up, these three have their parents going, and it continues all day long. I am so happy we did a day in the life session last weekend! I joined them shortly after everyone woke up and the pancakes, sausage, and eggs were ready pretty quick. Playing dress-up couldn’t start soon enough for ‘A’, and ‘W’ enjoyed some favorite shows before he joined into the fun of dress-up…as a police officer of course. Baby ‘B’ was always curious about every move I made…well not just me, everyone! She was so cute!

Our day consisted of dress-up, games, playing outside with some crazy toy car drivers, coloring, hot cocoa, baking cupcakes, lunch at Chik-Fil-A, a trip to the museum, an entertaining bath time (just scroll through for the picture! You’ll know it when you see it, HA!), and a sweet bedtime, at which point I got an “I love you Heather” (Umm, how sweet is that?!). It was a busy Saturday, and I am SO glad I was there to capture all the little moments that make this family awesome.

As busy as life can be with three kids under the age of 5, mom and dad made time for each of them. It was so sweet to see. They were in the moment, playing games, coloring, and running around right along with the kids. One of my favorite things about these types of sessions is seeing the dynamics between relationships. Every family is different yet one thing remains a constant thread…the love for each other is powerful.
