{Half} Day in the Life | Crosby Family
I recently spent the evening with the Crosby family, and immediately upon arriving I knew this would be a fun one. They are all full of such great energy, it was an awesome few hours.
Rain was in the forecast so while it was still dry outside they went out to blow bubbles and experiment with some chalk spray. It worked especially well on the family car! Little Miss ‘E’ got some walking practice in and enjoyed some bubbles before it was time to go inside. Queue lemonade time! Even though homemade lemonade may not be in the daily routine, it’s a must for any family so they hopped to it. I couldn’t get enough of the sour faces when they all tasted the lemon slices…and then the lemonade. Hilarious! Also…in case you didn’t know, safety goggles are also a must! Little ‘C’ got a feel for lemon juice to the eye, but dad saved the day with some safety goggles. They were able to finish the tasty lemonade safely, with maybe a few extra spoonfuls of sugar in between of course.
More family came to join for dinnertime which only added to the fun. It’s so nice they have kids so close in age. They had a blast. And speaking of dinner time, the Crosby fam knows how to do pizza night right! I mean, cheese and pepperoni are standard, but let’s talk about this fig and goat cheese deliciousness. Yep…that’s how you do pizza night.
After dinner the kids played a bit more, and then it was time for bath time, always one of my favorites. Mom and Dad both helped, and the kids enjoyed splashing around. Cozy jammies, and story time were soon to follow. When the days are winding down, and everything starts to quiet, those special little moments really happen. ‘E’ reaches for her mama’s face when she’s enjoying her bottle, Dad reads them books while they snuggle up next to him, and a before bed tv show with Dad. Nothing beats these little moments, they’re moments you want to remember…forever.
Even though everyday has it’s chores, jobs, tantrums, and ups and downs, and maybe the monotony gets in the way of seeing how beautiful your life may truly be, the ones you love are there through it all, and maybe, just maybe, some pictures from the outside looking in may help you realize just how truly lucky you are. The little moments pass all too quickly, cherish them!
OK, ok, let’s check out some pictures from my time with the Crosbys.
