Rachael + Chad | Engagement Session | Lady Bird Johnson Park
Hi everyone!
Let’s all give it up for one of the coolest couples ever, Rachael & Chad.
Rachael told me all about how Chad and her met while working at the fire station, and of course, the rest was history!
She also filled me in on the story of the ring. The opal was mined in South Africa by her (great?) grandpa, and Chad had it made into a ring. I love when there is a story and a meaning behind everything. He went out to the way and had something so meaningful made for his love. As soon as it caught my eye during our session, I was kind of obsessed.
The day of our session we met up at the Marine Corps War Memorial and headed over to Lady Bird Johnson Park and ended up walking SO much more than I expected. Rachael and Chad were really cool about it. I mean…someone tell me why there are hardly any crosswalks to and from the Marine Corps War Memorial and the riverfront?! Ha. We got our steps in that’s for sure. Anyway, back to the session, Rachael had warned me that they were not the serious type, which was perfect to me! With their fun-loving demeanor and my goofiness, I would say we captured their relationship really well. I am such a sucker for a good, genuine, laughing photo and we grabbed a bunch of those! I love them!
They also brought their sweet fur-baby, Hemi. He was the best! Whenever it was his turn to have a photo with his parents, he hammed it up. Total pro.
Now…the most exciting tidbit (for me at least) was the fact that these two are both firefighters. I mean…how badass are they?!
Ok, ok…let’s check out the pictures and you’ll see what I mean!
