Walton Family | Maternity Session | Burnside Farms
We’ve got some serious reason to celebrate! Liese & Craig are officially having twins, due in just a short time! If that isn’t reason to do a happy dance, I don’t know what is! Well…add in the fact that we timed our session just right for the tulip festival at Burnside Farms; with all of that we really have a happy dance. The tulip festival is only a short window each spring and we made it happen. She made the flower crowns for herself and little ‘L’, and her mom made the gorgeous, flowy skirt (her favorite color too!) for this session. Little ‘L’ called her little white dress her wedding dress, so that gave the perfect reason for Craig to wear a suit. I think it all came together so well.
I had the privilege of photographing this family before and they are just getting cuter, if that’s even possible.
I said something about Craig being a great Daddy, and Liese just beamed and agreed, telling me how good he has gotten at braiding hair etc. So sweet!
As you can see from the pictures below, Liese is the perfect soon-to-be mom (again). Any photographer would be lucky to photograph her. And that baby bump couldn’t get any more precious.
Check out some favorites of mine from their session below, and trust me, this one was hard to narrow down to just a handful to blog. (Tough life, I know, haha)
Little ‘L’ was happy to hug her new brother and sister! She’s going to be a great big sister!
That last one cracks me up! At first she didn’t like the bulbs coming up with the flowers, but after it was explained to her that they can take them home and they’ll grow next year in their garden, she loved the idea. The next flower she pulled up didn’t have the bulb attached, so obviously she was bummed. haha
Even though we were among the prettiest tulips, little ‘L’ picked these and gave them to her mommy. A very sweet gesture, and I thought the colors meshed well, and the wind blew her ribbons and everything just right…great bump shot! 😉
Are they for real?! Gorgeous!
While I was taking pictures of her mama, they were chilling together waiting for their next set of directions.
If these Daddy Daughter shots don’t make you smile, I don’t know what will. They were so sweet!
She picked that specific flower for her mommy, after smelling it to make sure it was perfect, she ran it over to her.
She seriously looks like a fairy princess or something. I love how her look all came together, and mixed with that glow…she’s a stunning mama.
Then on my way out I saw the baby chicks and ducks (not pictured because there were some other groups overwhelming them), but what a treat?! Burnside Farms always does it right. If you get a chance, their sunflower fields will be ready around July…don’t miss it!
